About Karen
Karen's deep understanding of the body comes from extensive training in dance, somatic movement studies and anatomy. Karen became certified through EHS and has over 800 hours of training. In addition, she studied rehabilitative applications of Pilates with Lizz Roman, EHS Rehab Specialist. San Francisco based fitness centers and studios where Karen has taught include JCCSF Fitness Center Club One, Simply Balanced and EHS Pilates.
A life long learner and advocate for the environment and social change, Karen holds a Master of Nonprofit Administration from University of San Francisco School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Biological and Environmental Sciences from Antioch College, Yellow Springs, Ohio.

Initial consultation by phone to discuss the new student's fitness or injury recovery goals, physical activity level and injury history.
Initial 50 min hour private session - New student leaves with 5-10 minute Pilates routine that supports and empowers the student's movement, offers more ease in all physical activities and can be performed at home.
