Carl Herod is definitely a one of a kind music teacher! We have been a client for over 6 years. He has taught one son to play the drums in almost any setting and our other son is now learning the bass guitar and after just 4 weeks of lessons he is now playing in a local church praise band.

Carl Herod has been an exceptional music teacher to my two sons for the past four years. Beginning with piano lessons and expanding into percussion and guitar lessons, we spend an hour a week with Carl and he packs our time with quality learning. He brings knowledge and expertise to MANY aspects of music. The boys learn rudiments and technical theory, but also improvisation and ear training. His teaching style is laid back and relaxed. He responds equally well to my older "by the book" son and my second "more eccentric" son and brings out their love of learning with varied methods of instruction.I anticipate continuing our teacher/student relationship with Carl for the next five years and I am confident that my boys will have a life-long love of music in large part because of Carl.

My son and I really enjoy Mr. Herod's piano lessons! He has taught him so much in such a short time, and he makes it fun. Mr. Herod is patient and makes learning the piano exciting for my nine year old. He always makes sure to praise every effort my child puts forth!

My son had been taking drum lessons from Carl and i was extremely pleased with how he interacted with my 8 year old. I was a want to be guitarist with absolutely no musical experience. As an adult, I was out of my comfort zone but Carl quickly put my fears to rest. He also started at the very beginning and patiently but efficiently taught me the basics and much more. The experience has layed the groundwork for what has become a hobby, passion, and perhaps even an obsession. Thanks Carl!
