About Kristen

The Major Music Company is a local company that provides a teacher to give lessons in your own home! Lessons are based on the individual student and what they need/what their goals are. We also provide a community for the students by providing 2 recitals a year with other teachers and students! Receive a trophy every year at the Spring Recital! (concealed information)

As the owner, I studied Piano Pedagogy at LSU and graduated in 2016. Previously, I had worked with Christine Lien for 12 years, piano teacher and president of BRMTA. I started playing piano when I was eight years old, and I got really into it when I discovered that I liked writing music. So I love to inspire kids to be creative! Our teacher Tina Harrison has a Masters in Piano Pedagogy and Bachelors in Piano Performance. She has years of teaching experience and a great desire to help children excell at piano by incorporating technique and theory.

Our teachers cater to the individual student. Every child has a different goal when it comes to piano. We understand that there are a lot of options for piano teachers in this area, and we appreciate the chance to meet you!

We welcome every level and age.

Find a teacher that fits the student's personality and goals. It is important for the student to feel like they have an opportunity to make progress that is rewarded by encouragement.

Every year we host 2 piano recitals. It is such a privilege watching our students grow when they perform.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Ask yourself what your goal is when it comes to piano. Express that to your teacher, and you will feel yourself progressing through the year. That is definitely how you can get the maximum out of your piano learning experience.
