Ms. Kara is an amazing piano teacher!! She’s highly educated, so she truly knows her craft, but beyond that, she has that special something that you know good teachers have. She has so much experience both with the piano/performing/music pieces/etc aspects AND with dealing with kids. Our family has three boys taking piano from her (we are finishing up our fourth year now). All three of them are very different personality-wise and she’s quick to understand what makes them tick, how to help motivate them, what types of music books would work best for how they learn, and always gets through to them in a way that they need. She has a magnetic personality that our boys love and is simultaneously firm and clear with expectations while also making learning an instrument (which can feel daunting even to the most motivated learner) fun and exciting. We cannot recommend her highly enough!

We just finished our 4th year of piano lesson with Kara. She is so patient with my kids - she challenges them and pushes them in a loving, gentle way. She encourages them and helps to foster a love of piano in them. I love seeing my kids learn and grow in this art and I'm thankful for what Kara does with them to help them along the way!
