About Autumn

Autumn Byrd is a clasically trained musician in piano and voice going on 17 years now. She has experience teaching early childhood, beginner, and intermmediate piano and voice. She has taught both private lessons and with a franchised music institution ( Bach 2 Rock). Her capabalities are not limited to performing and playing but also songwrtiting. A few venues she has performed are:

-Carnegie Hall New York, NY

- Kimmell Center Philadephia, PA

- Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame Cleveland, OH

Autumn has experience teaching a wide variety of ages and looks foward to sharing her passion for music with you or your child!

It all started when my longtime teacher (now friend) was tutoring me in Spanish, she saw that I had a piano and inquired about me teaching her daughter. She was my very first student and has now gone on to be a piano major at the very same academy I was taught at. After that, I increased my studies at Belmont University ( where I majored in voice and secondary in Piano). I furthered my pedagogy skills at Bach 2 Rock in 2019 where I taught about 6- 10 students per day all ranging in various ages.

Graduated from a Performing Arts Academy in 2015 with a Degree in Piano Performance. I am also a member of the Cecilian Music Society. Recieved awards for placing superior and outstanding through the Music Educators Association ( M.E.A). A four year Golden Key Music Festival Winner. Passed Music Theory 1-3 and scored a 3/5 on AP Music Theory Exam and passed Advanced Music Technology. Worked for Bach 2 Rock for the summer season and worked with a curriculum tailored to each student ( taught early childhood- advanced ).

About the lesson

When working with a new student I like to make things feel safe and informative. I will teach the basics and fundamentals of music theory and performance, as well as instrument care or voice techniques! I usually allow a week - week and a half to gather required materials.

All Types! Beginners looking to learn a new craft, Intermeddiate students who are trying to hone in on their craft, and Advanced students who need guidance for auditions and performance critiques!

Don't be intimidated! I always hope to serve as a modum of inspiration for all my students to be as good if not better than me! I will always be there to answer ANY question you may have (both music and non music related).

I moved to GA four years ago from NJ. Now I'm moving Back to the NYC area and I'm so excited to be sharing my love of music with dedicated musicians in a beautiful city ( and my home-away-from- home !) For all reading: I will be in NYC June 15, 2021. If you would still like to request my services prior to the 15th, I will be available to start music theory and fundamentals via Zoom!

$ 60.00 for a half hour (only for ages 5 an under )

$90 for an hour ( ages 6-11)
