About Afnan
Tutoring is more than just teaching a student how to solve a word problem. It's even more than teaching how to understand a concept. It's about making a connection and creating a mentorship bond that will make the tutoring experience fun and enjoyable for both tutor and mentor in a healthy and professional relationship. Changing lives as a mentor allows me to not only tutor on book-material concepts, but to help cleints' with study methods, confidence levels, time management, writing skills, and communication skills. Mentoring includes tutoring and encompasses so many other helpful tools for optimal client success!
I started volunteering as a tutor and mentor to youth and worked a couple of tutoring jobs in college and graduate school.
I have been an english and science tutor for elementary school, high school, college, and graduate school students for over 5 years. I professionally edit and write and I have 3 degrees relating to science and medicine.
