Had a camera since I was 12 years old. year training in a college, darkroom, film, classes throught out life. Extensive travel. Various makes and models of cameras. Trained many people in my other areas of expertize. I,ve had some of the best and worst instructors, use the best points. Life long learniing of Photography constantly being up dated and reviewed.

Introduce, give and get their background. Understand what they want to learn, just how to use a new camera they may have or more advanced. Set up a flexable time for a lesson. Student does not need a camera. Can learn as long as they want. No contract. Basic use of camera, mirrorless, point and shoot, SLR. Lighting, filters, on and on. I have two horses in the area so photographing them and the herd can be part iof training.
All ages mostly adult. Even though working from my home, I have my spouse as a chaparon if you will. So females are safe when here. I have to mention this do to scams that are out there. My phone number, address, time your here is a open book.....
Experience and after you meet them, if you like them or not. Some brick and mortar studios do offer group classes. Expensive and a general subject is offered.I do one on one, and reccommend various free web sites and videos for supplemental training.
That would be most weddings. They can be fun and I offer very reasonable rates. An older couple 70,s was one of the best. Birthday party at Harrahs private room also was lot,s of fun...
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Most times in business and class training comes down to "How much". Which is fine, expensive isn,t always best, nor cheap. Run a request on Facebook, saying your getting married as a example. You,ll get 50 to 100 respnses, and prices and experience level from a legitamate Pro to someone that just bought a camera. Weigh the facts, ask questions, see if Instructor is a fit for your needs.

Details
A new student or camera owner can go to a college and learn with a mix of english, ect classes. Spending alot of time, money and may not learn one on one. Most camera stores in the area have closed, so classes not being offered. I'm semi retired, offer this service on a part time basis, so I do not depend on it for a living. Which is reflected in fee. This is one on one, or you and a friend. By lesson, no contract, no large up front fee,s. Can quit whenever you like, no penalties. $25 a lesson, hour to hour and a half. My home, Female spouse present, three dogs and a cat. Safe, fun, informative. Local photo shoots.
