About Deanna

The number one goal for my business is to provide an outstanding experience for participating students and enable them to learn skills that will last them a lifetime.

I teach Plein Air Sculpting (outdoor Sculpting) it's a technique to utilizes the natural world and animals. I do a lot of sculpting at the Stanford Equestrian Center. Other possible locations are the Zoo or Dog Parks for a broader subject category.

I also teach finger painting. A method of painting that helps the student relax and loosen the body. This is a fun time for students to experiment with another medium and enjoy the fellowship of other students.

Typically classes are in a group setting so that students can learn from one another. Art is for the individual's wellbeing but also meant to be shared to enrich the lives of those around us. I find that students flourish much faster in a supportive group of students learning together.

I began sculpting as a child when I was just seven years old and found a great inner peace while sitting quietly figuring out the dynamic three-dimensional forms. In 2006 I opened my current business and began teaching and selling art. My work is in collections internationally. I'm the ambassador for the National Sculpture Society where I provide the local community with opportunities to grow and learn from one another. There isn't anything more satisfying than having the privilege of helping artists achieve their dreams.

I started teaching local after-school art classes because parents wanted to help their children improve cognitive skills

I have private training in the fine arts. I ensure continued education through self-study.

About the lesson

New students are introduced to the material at their appropriate level so that they can most easily thrive and grow. I make sure new students are properly equipped with tools and handouts to help them feel comfortable and confident.

I've worked with children ranging from 2-16 and adults from 20-80. I adapt my material appropriately so that the student will have the most optimum learning experience.

I would suggest finding a teacher who is an encouraging and positive individual who is highly skilled in the students desired medium.
