I have over 30 years of teaching experience and feel that I relate well to people, with an understanding of their goals and desires. I have an accessible and friendly teaching style, which my students appreciate, leaving them plenty of room for creative growth.
Art and sharing my gift with others is simply my passion.

I interview the student and ask them what their painting/artistic goals are and why they chose me as an instructor. I also ask what they hope to get out of our experience together. If they would like to proceed, I explain that for private lessons, I require a commitment of at least five to begin with to set a pattern/habit of an artistic practice.

I have been working with Sandy for about 8 years. I had no art experience whatsoever, but a real interest in art. Presently I am getting great instruction in pastel painting. Sandy is very supportive, instructive, and also makes it fun. I have learned a lot of theory too as to how to use value, techniques, and colors to make a painting successful. She loves teaching in any medium.
