About Brendan

Music lessons for all ages! With a focus on singing, guitar, music theory, music appreciation and music production, I work to unlocking the inner most creative part of each person I work with! WE ARE ALL CAPABLE OF BEING MUSICIANS OR CONNOISSEURS! And my goal is to help you achieve your goals!

Growing up in performing arts, later working at a record label and in the rock music scene of Los Angeles, Ca, I have worked thousands of hours with some of the most talented musicians and producers in the world. Having taught private lessons and classrooms of all ages for the last few years, I have decided to formulate my own program and help others the way I was helped over my lifetime in performing arts!

I have graduated Loyola Marymount University with a degree in Theater Arts and have worked in music and teaching for many years. Now, I wish to work with you!

I began teaching musical theater as a production assistant, soon teaching vocals for musicals and band showcases. I then went on to work as a teacher for a music company in Los Angeles, working in schools across the county. I now teach privately and as an independent contractor for programs which hire me.

About the lesson

One on one conversations to learn about their history and what they want to get out of the lessons. After, we devise a program specific to their goals that is meant only for them! Meeting once a week or bi-weekly, we will learn together as we both teach eachother, working towards those goals.

I have worked with everyone from five year olds who want to learn to play guitar, to people in their 70's that wished to learn a new hobby or skills as a retirement activity. I rarely will turn anyone away from lessons if they wish to learn.

Just becasue someone is a teacher doesnt mean they always have the answers or they know everything. To me, teaching is all about constructive learning and never being closed minded!

I recently grew fond of virtual concerts, having been a part of a few and having watched most large scale concerts. I also enjoy Facebook Livestreams, because I feel it gives everyone a chance to showcase themselves in a freeing way.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Make sure you feel comfortable at all times!!!! Don't feel embarrased about questions that you have about music or letting your teacher know something about your learning habits. It will only benefity you and your teacher to know these questions.
