About Howard
I was the math supervisor at one of NYC's largest high schools for 25 years. I've also written a number of math textbooks and done a lot of teacher training and student tutoring for more than 40 years.
I love mathematics and I love teaching the subject to my students.
I have a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Mathematics Education and an Advanced Certificate in Educational Supervision and Administration.

When I meet a new student the first thing I do is idetify what they need help in by discussing what they are studying. I then assess where they are in mathematics and I tailor my work to their needs. I take great pride in their progress as well.
