About Paige
I am strong in both math and sciences and have 100+ hours of experience tutoring ages 14-18. I also previously tutored younger students, so I am also comfortable with teaching elementary and middle school subjects. Currently, I am a high school senior who will be graduating with a 4.1 GPA.
My favorite part of tutoring is seeing students who aren't able to get the attention they need from teachers get personalized help.
I began tutoring for free in 8th grade. At that time, I tutored 6th-grade students who struggled with math during my resource hour. I continued tutoring in high school and expanded my subjects to include math, English, different sciences, and Spanish.
I do not have any formal degrees but I am a 4-year magna cum laude student and will be graduating with honors this year. Throughout my high school career, I have maintained a 4.1 GPA while taking primarily honors and AP classes. I am also one of my high school's peer tutors, meaning I tutor students daily in an RTI (response to intervention) room during my study hall and resource. My process for working with a new student typically includes chatting with the student's parent over email or text (whichever is preferred) about the student's specific needs and what they are hoping to get out of the tutoring session. That way, if needed, I can prepare any materials that I need beforehand and have an idea of what we will be trying to accomplish together.
I have worked with both students who needed intervention to be able to graduate and also students who simply needed help catching up on schoolwork after falling behind. The most popular ages I tutor are between 14-18.

Details
Because of being a high school student, I only charge $15 an hour for zoom tutoring and $20 for in-person tutoring. This price is expected to rise as I continue my education and have to pay for college expenses.
