About Justin

Hi! I provide both in person and virtual tutoring in a variety of subjects, mainly within the area of mathematics, over the summer months (May - August). Currently, I am working towards a degree in Economics and Statistics, with an interest in sports writing and research in Sociology and Energy Systems. My experience tutoring has mainly been at the elementary level, with a some experience at the high school level - all within my hometown of Wilmington, MA. With my services you will get somebody who comes prepared, patient, and eager to meet new people.

Regardless of what subject we may be discussing, helping people reach an understanding allows me to see the various ways of learning. This aspect of tutoring interest me, while allowing for collaboration and creativity as we try to find the best course of action for you. My goal is to leave who I am helping with a better understanding of the subject and provide them with the resources they need to be successful when we part ways.

I am a student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst entering my fourth year in the fall. I am a student in the Mathematics Department, Economics Department and Honors College. From high school I have experience in AP Microeconomics, AP Calculus, AP World History, AP US Government and Politics, and AP Biology, and would be glad to help out with any of those classes. If you are studying for the SATs, I would also be able to help.

About the lesson

During these times, we first need to discuss whether or not you would like to meet in person. If so, we can email or set up a call to discuss the frequency of meetings, total duration of tutoring, and where we would like to meet.

I have worked with a few students in elementary school (general help), one student in middle school (French help), and one student in high school (algebra help). Almost all of these students were from my hometown, where we met at the library, but I have traveled to one of my students before.
