About Henry
I have always greatly enjoyed teaching as it allows me to share my passion and understanding for math and science with others. I work to create an intuitive understanding of complex topics with my students rather than promoting strict memorization.
I have been tutoring peers since I was in high school and I have also volunteered as an instructor at a science summer camp hosted by the Rochester Academy of Science for the past 6 years. Additionally, I work as a summer tour guide at the University of Rochester's Mees Observatory where I help to create presentations and teach basic astronomy and physics to guests.
I am currently a sophomore studying for a double major in physics and astronomy at Stony Brook Unversity. I am also a member of the Honors College, a very selective group of highly qualified and academically driven students.
I graduated high school Magna Cum Laude with mastery in science and mathematics. I am currently studying for a Bachelor's degree in physics and astronomy at Stony Brook University, where I am a member of the Honors College.

When tutoring a new student, I will first work to understand my student's level of comprehension not only of the current topic they are learning, but also of the basic concepts that lead to that topic. Without a strong understanding of the base concepts of a particular subject, it can often be impossible to learn the more advanced concepts which build upon those basics.

My base rate for lessons is $30 per hour with a minimum half-hour session. Discounts are available if purchasing 3 or more lessons at the same time.
