About Tanushree

I offer one on one tutoring. I am a college student and can help anywhere from 4th grade to 12th grade. I have fresh knowledge and extensive skill sets in mathematics. I can also offer ACT Math prep. My ACT score was a 35 and I had perfected a study method which I would like to spread to other students who are trying to achieve a higher ACT Score. I have learnt all forms of math in depth including, pre-algebra, algebra 1 and 2, geometry, and AP Calculus AB and BC. I have a detailed history of mathematics rooting down from elementary school to now college level calculus. I have taught these with simple explanations, in ways that students can easily grasp and understand the concepts much faster. I understand the difficulties of seeing students struggling while others are grasping the idea faster and with more efficiency, which is why my tutoring is based on a fast paced, yet very easy to grasp agenda.

I love helping students feel comfortable in their subjects and not stress too much if they are not grasping it at school. I love helping students find their path and their vision for their future. I also truly love students in general!

Growing up, I always would stay inside from recess or any extracurricular activities to help students having difficulty in subjects. In High school, I would go during my lunch breaks to the younger students and help with their problems. This really inspired me because i realized I had such a different path for my education that many may have not. I kew so many kids when tutoring at school who wanted to do honors classes or a higher level but couldn't grasp the concept. I felt a calling to help in achieving their goal.

I have had extensive training in mathematics throughout my life. I have been in multiple college level math competitions as well as when I was younger, I participated and recieved awards for math competitions. I have studied Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, AP Calculus AB, and AP Calculus BC.

About the lesson

I first like to start off the student with a free session just to see whether or not the student is really in need of tutoring. As a student I thought I needed tutoring when in reality I knew the material, just didn't feel confident in myself. I also help in the emotional aspect of school and learning as well, because that is the first step to really understanding what you are learning. I then set a pace and course guide with the content from hardest with high priority to easiest and low priority. I like seeing how my student learns and understand how their brains work so I can describe a particular pathway that stays easier for them to grasp.

I have worked anywhere from 3rd graders to 12th graders. I have worked from those who are needing just a little bit of push to those who are starting at the beginning.
