About Jamie
Students tell me I am exceptional at breaking down complex material to make it understandable to them after they've insisted they have no chance at passing the course. If you are at that point, I can help; if you are understanding the material to any greater degree, I'll supplement with the same tips and tricks you will not find elsewhere, by and large.
I am capable of tutoring students in courses spanning the spanning mathematics and the natural sciences; however, I largely work with Calc (sci/eng), Bus. Calc (or soc.sci. calc); my specialty: Organic Chemistry (BS in Chem, minor in Math, USF, Tampa FL) (enrolled grad/pharm program)
I have B.S. in Chemistry; extensive coursework, and competition experience, in mathematics, from basic math to differential equations, as well applications in science and elsewhere. I have studied biology (winning a Biology Student of the Year award from a local state college), biochemistry, math, physics and chemistry, as well as having completed a number of special topics courses in the natural sciences. I have worked as an academic editor (editor of academic manuscripts) for several years. And I have over 15 years of experience tutoring students of all ages and temperaments, under most imaginable circumstances.

I prefer to see students for a 15 minutes or more and get a feel for where the student is, where they want to be, and how long they have to get there. I meet students at the frontier of their understanding, generally, and focus and making progress at an appropriate pace, while remaining aware of the time contstraints they may have in terms of upcoming course requirements, etc.
