About Amber
I have been a teacher for twenty years. I taught in the classroom in elementary and middle school for ten years and have been a homeschooling teacher for ten years.
Math is my passion. I have taught at all levels, but my favorite is middle school and high school math. I have taught countless kids to love math, and I've taught many parents how to teach math to their children.
Understanding math is like climbing a ladder. Anyone can do it - and even enjoy it. But when rungs are missing in the ladder, climbing is difficult or impossible - and no fun at all. Students - even ones who "have always hated math" - don't need to start over from the beginning. We just need to figure out which rungs are missing and fix them.
I've never encountered a student who didn't feel proud of themselves and empowered when they were done studying math with me.
