About Christina
As a student, undiagnosed with ADD and Dyslexia, I often thought that understanding, math in particular was impossible. I found myself in 8th grade struggling with pre-algebra, because I had missed so much early on. Through graphic design, and much more math, I am grateful to say , "I understand", not only what I was missing in my early math years, but I can also understand why others are misunderstanding concepts as well. It is my desire that all students have the basic skills neccisary to thrive in life. From financial math to basic algebra I'm passionate about finding what motivates young students to develop healthy mathematical relationships and link them to the real-world.

First I like to find out a students relationship and current grades in math. Next, I want to assess what struggles the student may be having currently. Are these struggles that they've had all year, or just recently.
in a session:
I typically will model a problem or two while talking through my decision making process. I will then guide a student encouraging them to stick to explain and talk through their steps. I will continue to walk the student through any questions while working more independently.
All types, with severe deficiencies in math and extremely advanced honor students as well.
Explaining the stock market to my daughters (14 & 13), purchasing stock in a company after research and watching them grow.
