About Andy

The materials that I tutor are stuff that I use every single day! I have 3 years of experience in tutoring and coaching college-level math and sciences at ASU, and I currently work as an engineer for my day-time job. I know how to use math and sciences in the real-world, and I hope to be able to inspire my students to learn more!

Nothing gives me more joy than seeing people going into that "AHA!" moment! Life is full of those moments, when you don't think you could do it and all of a sudden, you did it! I've seen my students go from thinking that they can't pass the class, to graduating with a great engineering job! I do the same thing at my day-time job, where I see clients having that "AHA!" moment after I help them understand the solutions to their problems.

My junior year of college, I moved out of the dorms and started looking for a job. There was a tutoring position on campus in the engineering center. I took the position because I needed the job, but I ended up loving what I do. I stayed there up until I graduated with my first degree.

I have a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering and a master's degree in mechanical engineering. I have 2 years of experience in tutoring engineering and math, and 1 year of student coaching and/or teaching assistant.

About the lesson

I've worked with engineering college students on the ASU campus. These people range from various grade levels from freshman to senior, from all kinds of backgrounds. It was fun, challenging, and definitely rewarding.

Find someone that you trust! A teacher that's just good at teaching or knowledgeable isn't enough if they don't fit well with the student. That's why I make it easy upfront financially for you to try me out as your tutor. There's a tutor for every student and there's a student for every tutor!
