About Stephen
I started out as a math tutor, but since 2015, I have been teaching high school math, ranging from Algebra 1 to AP Statistics.
I worked in the business world for several years, but it wasn't until I started tutoring on the side that I realized my passion for teaching math. A year later, I was in the classroom, teaching full time!
I have taught high school math since 2015, ranging from Algebra 1 all the way to AP Statistics .

I like to start by determining the current skill level of the student. That way I can determine the pace required to get the student where they need to be!
I have worked with all types of students, from elementary to high school to college. I believe any student has the capability to succeed in math.
I know several people who are geniuses in math, but find it hard to translate that to students who struggle with it. Look for a teacher who knows what they're teaching, and can teach it well.
When I teach geometry, I review algebra at the beginning of the year. Many of my students were convinced they would never be able to learn how to show their work, but in just a week, they were experts!
