About Raymond

I am Raymond King, a Special Education math teacher for Middle School in the Socorro Independent School District. I have been a teacher for five years, and have had great success with my students. I have also worked in leadership with youth from middle school through college ages for 15 years. I have a sold track record, and my students improve and progress at record pace. I have certifications in Special Education for all grade levels and Math for grades 4-8. I love seeing students be successful and hit there goals. I teach a 3-step quick reference process to mathematical exercises, and a lot of effective test taking strategies. I have a strong passion for motivating and empowering youth to strive and live in excellence! I look forward to working with you to bring academic success to your student!

While I was attending UTEP a opportunity came up to be a P.E. Coach at a Elementary School. I took that opportunity and started off as a P.E. assistant. Then I transitioned into a Special Education position and that’s when I started working in the Math department.

I attend yearly Special Education and Math trainings through my teaching position with SISD. I also have a Bachelors Degree connected to education.

About the lesson

I get to know the students interests and hobbies. Then I contact those interests and hobbies to math skills that I will be teaching. This process builds purpose and value for the student, causing him or her to want more knowledge and understanding of math concepts.

All grade levels and all students. I’ve primarily worked with high functioning Special needs students.

Hire someone that is drivien by purpose and value. You want someone teaching you educational topics that are meaningful to them as a teacher and individual first, then sharing that information with you as the student.

Details

My pricing is 25 dollars per hour. I do 1-2 hour sessions. The length of the session various per student need.

My availabilty is in the evenings from

5-730pm. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday

Friday's I’m available from 4-630pm

weekend sessions are available per request.
