About Robert
I have been a teacher for 21 years now and a math tutor for even longer. I've taught in public schools, private schools in Maryland, as young as gifted fourth graders and as advanced as precalculus juniors, and have both higher and lower levels mathematics certification. I pride myself on getting those I work with to achieve higher than they thought they would, and getting there more easily they aticipated, gaining confidence and thereby getting over what is usually the biggest obstacle
I have two degrees from the University of Maryland (Economics with a heavy concentration on mathematics and statistics, and Educattion).

We would do a greet and meet interview. I'll try to learn about his/her strengths, weaknesses, likes, dislikes, and anything else that may prove helpful.
I typically will do an informal assessment (i.e. "Tell me what you know about this specific topic", or put together a written assessment) just to get a better understanding.
From there I can create a strategy.
