About Leslie

Hello,

I recently graduated college from my university, and I was a Math tutor for about 2 years. I would have private tutor sessions, office hours, and work one-on-one with students when they would attend the lab. I enjoyed helping students with a moderate or difficult problem, and slowly break it down to the point they finally understood it. When I tutor, I try to give someone all possible methods to know how to solve the problem. The more you know, the better!

I enjoy helping students understand Math in the most simplest form of learning. Being able to hear them say "Ohh, that's actually easy afterall!" or "Wow, that's it?!" makes me feel accomplished in my workforce.

I used to take the class my freshman year and I enjoyed how easy it was to me. I always thought about working there, but did not apply until my junior year of college. I applied and I ended up getting hired. I enjoyed every bit of with, which is why I am here now trying to keep up with tutoring. 



I was a tutor for my University. I would help students understand College Algebra for Scientist and Engineers, and Business Algebra.

I take my time to understand what they're struggling in. Once I understand what they are lacking in the most, I try to help them improve in that area. 



I have worked with older people, who have no knowledge of math. I have worked with more traditional students who have had all types of disabilities. My key to my job is being patient no matter how slow or quickly the student understands math.
