About Selena
Many teachers simply focus on lecturing students with concepts and expect them to figure out how to do various problems. We help students by teaching them how to strategically recognize and solve different problem types within a concept taught in class. Once you learn this methodology, you can learn to solve many problems within a concept easily. I've noticed that after 3 years of tutoring, my students who have adopted this method have improved understanding of the material and higher test scores.
Accomplishments:
- Mathematics major at Hampton University (2018-current)
- Selected for the Department of Defense's STEM Scholars Program (2018-current)
- Summer Internship with the Department of Defense (2020)
- Research selected for presentation at The American Geophysical Union's Annual Fall Meeting (2020)
