Hello! My name is Ngoc-Ngan Nguyen. I have been a tutor for over 3 years. I specialize in K-12 math, high school science, Spanish (beginner to intermediate levels), and Standardized Test Prep. When working with a new student, I usually like to get to know the student first. I would like to know their interests and habits. From this, I will be able to judge at what pace each student moves and way each student learns best. Some students do better with visual examples, real world examples, and some students learn best from doing practice problems. After getting to know a students and his/her habits, I will form a general outline of what I would like to accomplish during each session. Typically, this outline will follow something like this: Answer any current questions, assist with current work/review previous session, then introduce new and upcoming topics, do practice exercises, and finish with a cumulative review to make sure all of the information is remembered.
