About Zachary
I have been working as an educator for nearly two decades teaching mathematics, design, and technology from public and independent schools in New York City to International Schools in Montenegro, the Netherlands, and Puerto Rico.
In my experience, the single most critical factor for successful learning is trust. I believe my job is to ensure that you feel safe to ask any question, that you will never be judged or criticized, even if you need to ask the same question or go over the same topic several times before it clicks for you. My job is to remove all anxiety. Mathematics is challenging, and If you are not comfortable revealing what confuses you, then it is very difficult to make progress.
You may find my fees a bit higher than other tutors, and this is not because I believe I am more skilled or more effective than other tutors, but because I take on fewer clients to ensure I can commit what I believe to be the requisite attention. My goal is to provide you with digital tools and online resources that will help you become a more independent learner, which will ultimately require fewer sessions with a live tutor.
