About Trish

I believe that learning works best when it is enjoyable and that every student can find their own unqiue method of problem solving. What works for some may not work for others and that is a beautiful thing. I try to work with students to identify what tools will serve them and help them come to realize solutions using their own thought-process.

I've dedicated my life to mathematics because I find it absolutely beautiful and I find so much joy in problem solving. I work with students so that I may share the beauty of math and the joy found in successful problem solving.

I naturally started helping my peers through assignments as a way to reienforce my own knowledge. Then began working as a Learning Assistant to expand my skills and became fond of the teaching experience.

I have a BS in Applied Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science from Metropolitan State University in Denver, CO. I graduated Magna Cum Laude and was listed on the Presidents Honor Roll. I worked a semester as a Learning Assistant at my university and tutored several college level students through math and science courses over the last 10 years.

About the lesson

I like to get to know my students, I work to identify their goals and what motivates them. After learning where they believe they are the most successful I try to incorporate their skills into areas that could be improved.

College level students with ages ranging from 18-40.

Find a teacher that isn't afraid of new and different approaches. Look for someone you can get along with and look forward to working with.
