About Kristopher
10+ years of teaching all levels of mathematics ranging from 1st and 2nd grade Elementary Mathematics all the way to AP and College-level Calculus.
Certfied K-12 Mathematics Teacher with two Masters degrees in Education (specialization in mathematics) and Educational Leadership: Management & Policy.
Math is not easy for a lot of students - I have always tried to make it fun, exciting, and allow students to be comfortable with their mistakes in order for them to learn from them. Building up confidence in my students has always been my number one goal!
Fell into substituing and coaching and then went back to school to get a Masters in Education from Seton Hall University.
I have been teaching mathematics for over 10 years and have been writing curriculum, and scope and sequence for mathematics for over 6 years. I am also the NJSLA/Standardized Test coordinator at my current school.

Two parts to the process:
1) What grade level the student is currently in and what they have been most currently working on.
2) Creating a scaffolded approach by teaching the student the prior skills leading up to the specific skill or standard they are struggling with.
Ages 5-19; boys, girls, transgender; all socio-economic statuses; all levels of instruction ranging from standard CP and grade level classes, special education, and advanced, accelerated, Honors, and AP courses.
