Mrs. Byers has taught three of my children and did summer school with two of them as well. She is a great teacher who makes sure that the activities are fun and interesting that also keep the kids engaged. She takes her time and makes sure all kids understand the material before moving on and will think of different ways to explain the topic so that all the kids understand it. If they are still having trouble she will keep trying different approaches and will stay on that subject until understanding is reached. Mrs. Byers is also really good at taking a topic or subject and breaking it down in a way that the kids really are able to learn it, not just memorize it.
She has been my kids favorite teacher. She is caring and fun. She makes it a point to connect with her students. She is great at giving her students confidence and making sure they know they can succeed. She celebrates achievements and never allows students who struggle to get down. She believes in all of her students. I can not recommend Mrs. Amanda Byers enough. She is amazing and was born to be a teacher.
