About Yancy
I love teaching people because along the process I something new about the student and or subject.
Special Qualifications: Bilingual (Spanish), CPR Certified
I love knowing that I'm here to help the student and being able to witness those Ooh moments. I enjoy being able to connect with someone else and teaching them something that I enjoy.
I was a volunteer teaching assistant for 6 months at a grade school for 6 months. I'm also a supervisor at a grocery store so I constantly teach other people various skills. Through my experience, I have learned how to adjust my teaching to speed as well as the person's own learning style.

First, we look at my sample problems. I do one sample problem and explain how and why I did what I did. Then I have them try out sample problems, looking to see where there are strengths and weaknesses. If they are still struggling I try to change my teaching style or use other tools that may help them learn better.
Every child has different gifts, learning styles, and passions. As a result, someone is going to acknowledge them and use them to best help them learn would be of great help.
With COVID I understand that students have become especially frustrated. Learning has become more difficult, I would love to make it easier and even fun.
