About Tasnim

I have been tutoring kids from my family since I was only in middle school. I enjoy the excitement that kids get when they finally understand a concept. I have been in all honors classes through out high school and took about 7 Advanced Placement courses along with some pre college classes. I am a High School Senior and look forward to working with you guys!

It all started with me helping my brothers with their homework and I felt accomplished every time they understood a concept that they were struggling with. Soon after high school as I began to work in a research clinical I decided to do tutoring on the side and tutored my friends, their younger siblings, and even family members/friends.

I am a high school senior taking advanced courses so I have tutored students within my grade multiple times. I have tutored kids since middle school and know how to accommodate everyone's differences in learning styles. Additionally, I have volunteered in my local library where I was instructed to help kids with homework as well. I participated as a tutor in the tutoring programs at my school.

About the lesson

When I first start working with a student I like to get to know them a little at first and recognize their style of learning whether that is visual, auditory, or writing/reading. And I like to proceed with acknowledging their struggles and laying out a plan to fix those struggles so that way they feel confident and know what to look forward to.

I have worked with a varied age range of students. Starting from pre-k to my grade level students ( high school senior ). I have worked with students who just needed a little extra help to build their confidence to students who felt completely drowned and confused in their work.

One thing I love about math is that you can use the countless amount of different methods and find the same answer. Therefore I recommend students to look for a tutor who will go the extra mile and explore different methods with you so that you can find the methods that best fit you and the one you truly understand.

Students should think about their best way of learning, whether that's visual or auditory. This helps the tutor making lesson plans to match the student's needs and makes learning more efficient.
