About Krisan

I have experience in tutoring kids grades K-12 with wide ranges of math subjects for over 3 years. I'm very patient, resourceful, and treat my sessions as fun and insightful for my students.

I was referred by my brother to my first tutoring job since I've always had excellent marks in math up to my years in college. I was always passionate about helping others succeed in whatever their endeavors are, so teaching came naturally for me.

I have work with New York University as a math tutor for over three years tutoring mainly HS students in the field of math. I had dealt with different math subject from algebra to calculus. I've also tutored college students in statistics. I have experience with math for K-8 through tutoring younger relatives.

About the lesson

The first session is just an introductory session where I get to know my student, their schedule, their goals, and create a game plan on how to achieve it. I treat it as a very stress-free session the first time and is very open to any assignment they may want me to do on the spot.

Students of grades K-12 and grades 11-12 with learning disabilities.

Choose someone who is patient with you. When you are struggling, have a lot of questions, or sometimes when you feel like you may be annoying or slow in something, a tutor who is patient means the world. The boost of confidence and support always yield the greatest results!

A couple of years ago, I've ended up private tutoring a student with learning disabilities at her house for an entire summer, five days a week in all her subjects for regents. now that she was able to graduate high school, (and also college!), we've recently caught up in conversation. She thanked me greatly for being there for her.
