About Atiyyah

I am a highschool student at hunter college highschool, which is one of NYC's specialized schools. I have tutored at a program at my school to help kids who are less fortunate. As a student at my highschool I have learned many studying tips to make learning a lot easier and effective.

I started tutoring my little brother as well as a community service club in my school to teach kids in less fortunate areas.

As a student at hunter college highschool, I am taught by many valued adults including Harvard, Yale and Cornell alumni. I have learned many tips in order to make learning fun, easy and effective.

About the lesson

First I would get to know the student in order to make the tutoring process less awkard and fun. Doing this also ensures the student feels more comfortable with me. I would look at the work they are currently working with and help with that and additionally provide outside resources to give the student extra help and information.

I have worked with kids from kindergarten-9th graders both students who are gifted and those who have a harder time learning.
