About Maya
I'm an incoming college freshman who is passionate about helping students master challenging subjects, in a fun and engaging way. I have experience tutoring kids in Elementary, Middle, and High School in various subjects.
I love getting to see the excitement when a difficult concept clicks for a student. As someone who was also a student not too long ago, I'm able to easily relate and share my experiences and advice.
I have worked as a tutor locally for four years.

For students interested in longer term tutoring I typically start with an evaluation to see how I can best help and what the student's strengths and weaknesses are. During this session, both the student and the parent can share what they want out of tutoring. If the parent and student prefer to get started quicker and have a clear idea of what they want, this can be done over email or text ahead of time.
For students who have a more specific topic, or who want to meet only once, or as needed, I just need to know the topic ahead of time and then we can get started right away.
