About Samuel
I work with students using a variety of technology on my end, to allow for a more interactive and immersive online tutoring experience. Additionally, I come with 4+ years of tutoring background and I'm actively studying the concepts I find myself tutoring to students each week.
I particularly love helping students with clear goals. I work with students to identify why they want to work with a tutor and what they hope to accomplish, then I tailor-fit our lessons so that each minute we spend together helps the student accomplish what they're looking for.
I am a current senior at Stanford University pursuing a B.S. in Science, Technology, & Society and minors in French and Data Science. I have taken a mathematics-focused curriculum and regularly use the very principles I teach.
I have been tutoring in-person and online since August of 2019. I have focused exclusively on mathematics, and I have worked with students from grades 5-10 across all levels. I pride myself in my ability to communicate ideas simply and clearly, even through an online format.

1. I like to schedule a conversation to determine if we will be a good fit for each other. I strive to understand the student's needs and goals from having a tutor (are they falling behind in class, do they want a little extra boost, preparation for a specific test or competition?), and propose how I can be of assistance.
2. If we feel we're a good fit, I will go ahead and schedule a few weeks of meetings for us to test the waters. After that point, we can continue forward at a regular cadence!
