About Ian

I believe the most powerful tool is a solid foundation. I establish in my students, a strong set of skills, mathematical reasoning and confidence, which gives them the ability to make it on their own.

Math and Computer Science are my passions.

Whether it's my personal work, or teaching I enjoy delving into the material.

That being said, over my years of tutoring and teaching, I've learned more and more, that I also have a passion for helping others learn. I enjoy seeing other people succeed and knowing that I helped them get there.

I have always shown a particular talent for math since I was very young, throughout secondary school and college I became more involved in tutoring other students. As of now, I have been tutoring in various topics, specifically Math, for over 4 years.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and a strong Mathematics background.

About the lesson

I administer a series of small quizzes/questions to gauge to student's current level of competency. Along the way I also encourage the student to show me their method and manner of thinking when solving a problem, from there I can correct the flaws in accordance with their understanding.

Students in elementary school, to college, even to adults returning to school.

I also have plenty experience tutoring students with various learning and/or mental disabilities.
