About Ricardo
I am a recent graduate from UCF in Orlando with a degree in secondary mathematics education and have also completed my first year and am currently still employed as a high school math teacher. I am an avid fan of 6-8 mathematics as well as precalculus and calculus.
I love the joy that comes from understanding math concepts and I love being able to get my students, family, and friends to feel that same way.
I have always wanted to teach since I was around five years old. I always knew that I would eventually become a teacher just not certain of what I would teach. Math became my favorite subject around middle school and that was when I decided if I did teach, math would be the subject I focused on.
I am currently in school working on my last semester of a bachelor's degree in Secondary Mathematics Education.

Mr. Tafoya took the time to break down each of the lessons he helped me with into smaller, manageable parts that helped to not overwhelm my learning, but also help me to apply what I learn to my own practice to ensure I was finding understanding in what we covered during our sessions.
