About Nenji

I provide personalized tutoring. I have am a culturally-revelant educator that centers the identities, strengths and interests of students to help them achieve their academic goals.

Hi I'm Nenji! As an educator for over 12 years, I’ve had many roles: K-5 classroom teacher, math and literacy coach and K-8 principal. In every role, teaching has been my favorite part –whether it be kindergarten reading, 6th grade math, or adult learning. I have a Master’s in Education from the University of Southern California (USC). As a classroom teacher, I was nominated teacher of the year. Parents frequently requested for their children to be placed in my class. My classroom achievements led me to be recruited to coach and teach teachers and then run a school.

In my teaching, I center joy and personalization. I introduce the lesson in an engaging way and adjust the content and practice to meet students’ needs. I ask questions to get to know my students and understand how they best learn. I am highly skilled in working with students with different learning needs. I build on students’ strengths to help them reach their tutoring goals.

I want to support students as much as possible, thus I welcome any and all resources or input from students and parents. I offer tutoring virtually or in-person (must be within 15-mile radius) Feel free to contact me with any additional questions or to schedule a lesson!

Over 12 years as a certified educator- teacher, instructional coach and K-8 principal. Masters in Education from USC.

About the lesson

I ask questions about the students strengths, needs and goals. I then do a few assessments to gauge the student's skills and knowledge. Then, I plan personalized lessons to tutor them to meet their goal! I consistently ask for feedback from my students to ensure I'm being responsive and adjusting lessons to meet their needs.

I have taught Pre-k through 8 grade students. I am a culturally responsive educator who works with students with diverse learning styles and needs! I'm almost 15 years, I have worked with countless different learners and have supported them to reach their academic goals!
