About Maddie
Growing up I have always had an interest and passion for mathematics. I'm a rising sophomore at the University of Virginia studying Biomedical Engineering and I have very successfully completed all levels of mathematics up to and including Multivariable Calculus. I have many years of informal tutoring experience, as all throughout middle and high school I peer tutored other students once or twice a week in varying levels of mathematics and Spanish. To me, there is almost nothing better than the feeling of tackling a tough concept by correctly solving a problem. That is, other than leading someone else to that same feeling. I will do a quick evaluation to see where they're at. I will ask questions about the material they're studying, how they're studying, how they're performing, and where they would like to be (i.e. what can I help them with?). Using this information, I will create the most optimal plan for them moving forward to help them achieve their goals.
I have worked with students that range from middle school to high school age.
