About Debbie

I form a relationship and bond of trust and professionalism. I like interaction, developing a plan, goal setting, creating a learning environment that is creative and uses manipulatives, and that gets kids thinking and creating. I’ve taught all grades—pre-school through high school— since 1977 in public, private and homeschools. I’m passionate about school and teaching! When I was growing up, I’d gather the kids in my neighborhood and teach them in the summer!

I am also a top notch swim coach & teacher. Our family had our own swim academy and online newszine in CA.’s Bay Area- Aquatic Times- and developed many technically sound and very fast swimmers, worked with tri-athletes, rec & high school teams and have had our own AAU/USS team for 46 yrs. now!

I am a voice and performance coach. I have classical & opera background, but also made my living with my nightclub bands, and have done some recording.

Additionally, I’m an editor and publisher, so I know public relations and advertising, and have interviewed many top well-known homeschool leaders and Olympic swimmers and coaches.

I tutor math & English online only, and I don’t tutor algebra, geometry, trigonometry or calculus.

I LOVE detail work, and everything I do involves that! I am a people person who enjoys other people a d helping them excel and reach their goals.

I’ve always had a love for learning and I’ve enjoyed passing that on to others. It’s contagious! I started as a teacher-aide in 1977.

...MANY years of experience, leadership and success
