About Daniel
Hi! I have a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from UM, and I taught college level courses with high level mathematics. I enjoy explaining math concepts in ways that break it down so it's easier to understand. My style is to connect complicated math equations with real world application so that it makes sense on a more personal level. I use personalized examples that are not always in the textbook to explain the concepts in ways that will resonate with each student I teach. And as I get to know the student, I aim to create specific teaching methods to make learning easier for that individual.
I have always enjoyed working with students that are struggling with math concepts and help them master it. It gives me joy and satisfaction to see the student understand the material and even become excited and realize that math does not have to be as difficult as they once thought. As an engineer, I've struggled my way through many math courses. I've experienced the pain of not understanding a concept and the helpless feeling when you can't figure it out. I enjoy helping students through these moments and succeed in their math classes.
