About Andre
I have been in this industry for 15 years and I have seen it evolve. I take the approach of being a guide on the side vs a sole-source for knowledge. Granted I still have to be knowledgeable in the subjects I teach. But more importantly, I help my students learn how they learn.
The part of my job that I like the most is the look of satifaction on my students faces when everything finally "clicks". When I started out I did it to help a friend. At the time, I didn't think it would grow into the business it has today. As I grew, I took advantage of opportunities to become certified by the National Tutoring Association, manage two start-ups in the Education space, proctor dozens of standardized tests, and continue my private practice remotely
I started, like many good ideas, by helping a friend. This developed into a passion. Years later, I still love teaching.
I partenered with two start-up businesses to help them grow in their nieche spaces, both dealing with Education. I have volunteered to proctor at several SAT testing sites. I continue my education through training with the National Tutoring Association and other, related organizations.

The first session begins with a 30-minute consultation. I treat it as more of a conversation where we can both ask each other questions. This way I get a feel for what each student (adult or child) understands as well as what their concerns are about the material we are goin to cover.
