About Ashlyn
I think my service stands out because I am very patient with who I'm teaching, unlike other tutors. I also try to get to know the student before teaching them which most tutors don ́t always do. My goal is to help students learn math in the way that works for them.
I enjoy working with other people. I think it's fun being able to learn about another person, and I take pride being able to help someone learn a skill that will be very vabuable to them throughout life.
I usually just helped my fellow students for fun, until I realized I could start a career out of teaching. I got inspiration from the ones I helped.
Well I practice math on multiple different websites every day. I'm still a student as well, but math is a big part of my life.

First, I try to get to know the student. I know it's awkward when you first meet someone so I would like to make the person I am teaching comfortable with me so they're not afriad to ask me any questions about something they don't understand. Then, I try to figure out the students learning style so it's easier for me to teach them. I am actually young myself so I feel like it would be easier for me to teach since I understand the struggles people go through while learning math.
The students I work with are all very different, but for the most part they're all in 6th or 7th grade. I found out the students I work with work better with someone they're comfortable with which is why I prefer to get to know the people I teach a little bit before I teach them.
The advice I would give is explore your options. All teachers are different and it's important you pick a teacher that fits your learning style best!
Well, recently my school got shut down. I took advantage of this because now I have more time to practice my math skills and be more productive throughout the day.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I think students should ask teachers questions about how they teach. Pace, methods, and patience are all something teachers use to help their students learn and I think students should be open to their teachers about their needs, and knowing these things about their teacher may help them to do so.

Ashlyn is a very smart person, I was struggling in math and needed a tutor. So I searched the internet and found her. I was way behind before working with Ashlyn but now I am ahead of most of my class
What I liked about working with the math tutor is that she helped me learn a lot more math that i didn't know before. she was easy to understand and not hared at all. She helped me with work that i was confused with. She was very nice to me and answered all the questions that i had about math. I would definitely go back to her and have her as my math tutor again. She was one of the best math tutors i have had in awhile.

Details
As it is very important for a student's education, price isn´t a big deal for me. I would prefer about $10 an hour, but if you would like to pay a smaller price, that's fine by me! I prefer to use venmo as payment, but if that's not possible I'm sure we could work something out.
