About Henry
If you are struggling in math or THINK that you don't like it, I will help you start from zero and build you up to where you need to be. This might sound like a scary journey but imagine how refreshing it will be to get that moment where everything "clicks!"
I am a former geometry teacher turned engineer with a bachelors in math with a focus on education. I also have experience tutoring students individually or in small groups because I used to work at a math tutoring center.
I thought teaching would be a fun and interesting career rather than having an office job. Now I realized that teaching public school is not for me but tutoring is the best thing ever!
I am a certified high school math teacher with 1 and 1/2 years of experience. During my time teaching public high school, I was able to teach geometry, math college prep, and algebra 1. I also have 6 months of experience tutoring at a well known math tutoring center where I worked with students of all ages and experience levels.

When working with a new student, I want to first find out how they feel about math. I want to know where they stand both emotionally and mentally about math in general. Using this information, I hope to have a conversation with the student about what they think will help them and what goals they want to achieve within a certain time frame.
1st grade - 12th grade. All different types of backgrounds.
Choose someone who is there to understand what you are struggling with/wanting to know FIRST, Not just someone who THINKS they know what you need.
