About Alayna

I am a 6th grade student aiming to make the kids of tomorrow more intelligent today. I have a 4.00 GPA and excel in all of my classes, I am looking to turtor children between the ages of Kindergarten - 5th Grade. I understand I may not be who your looking for, especially since I am young, but I am kind spirited, and I can relate to what they are going through, making a sort of friendship no other can relate to. I dream to help children whether it be in Math, Language Arts, Science, or Social Studies, because overall, it makes me a happier person. If you decide you want someone older, I fully understand, I will meet you and your child before beginning tutoring, I do not need to charge money, as I am a student, but tips would be highly appreciated. I am just as capable of tutoring younger students because I know the learning curves of being an Elementary School student, and I know how tough it can be to understand the subjects. As well with tutoring, I am capable of helping with social skills, for children who were shy, like me, I understand how difficult it is to make friends, and to maintain them, believe it or not, peer pressure exists in Elementary Schools too! That is why I hope you choose me to be your child's tutor, and friend.

About the lesson

Before I just jump into the learning, I like to know a little about the student, and like to get them a bit. Sometimes I will take them out for ice cream, or just enjoy some at the house. I talk to them, and understand what there going through, and what they feel are there biggest struggles. Then I take baby steps by getting into the work, and teaching them through it. I learn the type of learner they are by asking them some questions, I may bring in putty for hands on learners, or flash cards, for the type who like reading more. I can teach them at the comfort of their own home, or at mine, where there is a great desk, lots of comfy chairs and many other types items for different types of learners. I will meet up with the parents and discuss about the kids before, and/or after we meet, I am open to any discussions, so fire away! I am a certified babysitter, and will learn what meals, or snacks your child likes.
