About Lincoln

I am currently in my third year of a pharmacy doctorate program where I plan to be a nuclear pharmacist after I graduate. I have experience tutoring all subjects, but I excel at math and science, including biology, chemistry, anatomy/physiology, and microbiology. I have tutored students at High School and University levels and I have been CRLA certified while tutoring at the university level.

I saw others doing it and have been told I'm very thorough when explaining things. I take pride in my ability to communicate something abstract so that others can understand.

I am a third year pharmacy student and have completed course training in most biological courses, chemistry courses, and I have tutored math at the university for remidial, entry level, and intermediate levels of math.

About the lesson

For new students I try to get to know them a little bit, and also their strengths and weaknesses. I find that the best opportunities to help someone learn is when you can associate the topic to somehting the learner enjoys or has a great knowledge of.

I have tutored students with learning disabilities, ages 11-17 and also collegiate levels. I have had many students with disimilar backgrounds, which requires me to be adaptable.

Communication is key. If you don't understand, say so, and we'll try looking at the problem from another angle.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Hopefully students are thinking through each problem before reaching out to tutors. Tutors can be there to check your work, or to instruct. Either path is fine, but true learning happens through application. If a student can get as far as finishing a problem and asking me to check their work, then they are at the application stages.
