About Zakiya
As a tutor I am here to ensure my students achieve their academic goals by building confidence and addressing any learning gaps (lack of prerequisite knowledge) or difficulties they have understanding new and past material. Math is a subject that builds upon previous knowledge, a lot of difficulties students face are a result of these learning gaps that have been over looked. I am here to identify and address every issue my students have, past and present in order to make math a positive experience for them.
I aim to create a culture of understanding and continuous learning with my students and their parents.
As a Center Director of Mathnasium in California I have managed a variety if students' educational plans, needs and expectations. I hope to spread my love of math with my new students here on this website.
I enjoy seeing my students become excited about math and having a new, positive outlook as their confidence grows and grades increase.
