About Anahit

My teaching philosophy is to provide an individualized approach to each student. We all have unique ways of learning and should take advantage of these. I really love finding out what works best for each student, and apply individualized study plan for them. I have such a huge passion for learning, and my biggest hope through teaching is to ignite that passion in my students!

I have been tutoring for more than 5 years in math, sciences, and writing. I have BS in Biochemistry from the University of Southern California. I have also worked at the Princeton Review as MCAT Organic Chemistry Instructor, and I have been a math and chemistry tutor for four years teaching on the campus of Los Angeles Valley College at our Math Lab, General Tutoring Lab, as well as to students with disabilities. Through my training there I am certified tutor by College Reading Learning Association (CRLA) training program. My teaching experience includes one-on-one, small group tutorings, as well as classrooms.

I really love finding out what works best for each student, and apply individualized study plan for them. I have such a huge passion for learning, and my biggest hope through teaching is to ignite that passion in my students!

I have a huge passion toward learning and diving deep into concepts. I started teaching because I want to spark this passion in my students. I believe that anyone can learn anything they put their mind to, if they have the right tools and guidance.

I have been tutoring for 5 years in community college, as well as have worked as an organic chemistry instructor at the Princeton Review. I am certified tutor by College Reading Learning Association (CRLA) training program.

About the lesson

Before we get started, I offer a 30 minute free session, during which we discuss what the student needs, what they are working on, and it also gives me an opportunity to learn their style of learning and apply an individualized approach for our teaching sessions.

I have worked with middle school students, high school students, college students, as well as college graduates (MCAT).

My advice is to look whether the teacher is a good fit for you before reaching out. Look at their methods and philosophy of teaching as well as their experience.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I believe it is important that students clearly understand and organize their needs in detail first as much as they can. Communicating these with their teacher/tutor, will help them greatly in understanding what it is they have to work on together and how.
