About Deborah
The power of education is limitless. Many doors have opened for me just through learning, and I would like to help students reach their full potential as well. There is no subject or concept that is beyond a student's ability to learn with consistent practice. I am flexible, friendly, and will tailor lessons to the student's individual needs.
I enjoy helping students realize that their stuggles do not define them. I love to see the transformation of a student who thinks a difficult task is impossible, to later building the confidence and skill to work through it. I believe in lifelong learning which begins with connecting passion and respect to education. I also really enjoy working with children and teens because they are our future, and it's important to build them up daily.

First I will be more of an observer and watch how a student works through assignments. I take notes of concepts they have mastered and those they need more help on. I will also get to know the student and build trust so I can understand how to best teach them. I always speak positively and try to encourage the student when I sense frustration and also when they perform well.
