About Selorm

I have always loved teaching others. My first student ever was my little sister. Being there for her academically and emotionally as a sibling I have had the wonderful opportunity to see her growth into a wonderful person. It is this same passion that I have put into teaching every student I have had over the years. I treat each student like family, aimig for them to come out of the experience the best they can be.

I am currently studying Neuroscience at Harvard University. In middle school, I was part of my school's peer tutoring program in seventh and eighth grade. In high school, I founded a charity club that teaches high school students basic computer hardware and software skills, while also donating finished computer products to the benefit if the community. In high school, I was also assistant coach and eventually coach of my former middle school's competitive mathematics club. The club focuses on preparing students for the American Mathematics Competition (AMC) as well as the MathCounts competition at the regional and state level.

About the lesson

I believe that alongside covering the material, getting to know the student and how they learn best makes the tutoring experience more productive and enjoyable.

I have worked with a wide variety of students, from those with a lack of confidence in their skills to those who are more comfortable, I have had the unique opportunity to have had such rich and diverse experiences as a tutor.

Find someone you are comfortable having a conversation with. The more comfortable you are, the more readily you will be able to internalize the material you learn, consolidating it into your long term memory.

Housing Day! It was a wonderful day in which me and my closest friends had the chance to come together and learn which house we would be assigned to for the remainder of our college career.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
